The legendary Royal Enfield is the epitome of biking in India. The original manufacturers of these bikes were The Enfield Cycle Company based at Redditch,Worcestershire,U.K. The first motorcycles were produced as early as 1909. In 1955 Royal Enfield started its operations in India, partnering with Madras Motors, after it received an order for 800 motorcycles from the Government of India to be used for its military and police services. Meanwhile production was stopped in the UK but it continued in India. In 1994 Enfield India merged with the Eicher Group and took up the name Royal Enfield (RE).

The Desert Storm has captured the
imagination of bikers all over because of its amazing sand colored paint scheme. Of late,
RE has launched wonderful paint themes for its classic series.
Other than the Desert Storm there is Classic Battle Green which sports a green paint theme.
Spec wise both these bikes are similar to the Classic 500. All of these
sport single 499cc, 4 stroke, twinspark engine producing 27.2 bhp and
41.3Nm of power and torque respectively.
Another classic which has a unique theme for itself is the Classic
Chrome. This one has a more retro look unlike the other two war themed
bikes.
